Faulty Gearbox in EN8 Changed
Alex attended this property in Waltham Cross EN8 following an earlier visit by Shaun, who had gained access to the property during a lockout.
The homeowner was experiencing intermittent issues locking and unlocking their composite door. During the previous attendance, a fault was identified within the gearbox mechanism. Over time the issue worsened, resulting in the door becoming difficult to operate and at risk of complete failure.
Alex returned to site as he had a replacement in his van and carefully removed the handles, cylinder and locking mechanism to gain access to the faulty gearbox. The defective gearbox was then removed and replaced with a new high-quality replacement unit. All components were reinstalled, adjusted and tested to ensure correct operation.
Upon completion, the door was opening, closing, locking and unlocking smoothly, restoring the security and functionality of the property.
UPVC Mechanism Replaced in Waltham Abbey EN9
Shaun & Jayden attended an outbuilding in Waltham Abbey EN9 after the homeowner reported they were unable to open the door due to a key breaking in the lock.
Prior to our arrival, the homeowner had removed the handles and snapped the cylinder in an attempt to gain access, however the door remained locked shut.
Once access was gained, further investigation revealed the fault was with the UPVC multipoint locking mechanism. An overnight mechanism and replacement cylinder were installed to secure the outbuilding.
A return visit was arranged once the correct replacement mechanism had been sourced. The faulty mechanism was removed and replaced with a new unit, along with a new cylinder.
The door was fully tested and is now operating correctly.
UPVC Door Gearbox Replacement – Waltham Cross EN8
Shaun & Jayden attended a property in Waltham Cross EN8 after the homeowner reported difficulties locking and unlocking their UPVC door.
Following inspection, the fault was traced to a failed gearbox within the multipoint locking mechanism. The gearbox had worn internally and was preventing the door from operating correctly.
The locking mechanism was carefully dismantled and the faulty gearbox removed. A new replacement gearbox was then installed and the mechanism fully reassembled.
Once fitted, the door was thoroughly tested to ensure smooth operation and correct engagement of all locking points.
The door is now locking and unlocking correctly, restoring the security and functionality of the property.
