Why We Started ASJ Locksmiths
We're a small independent team of three locksmiths – Alex, Shaun and Jayden (ASJ) – providing professional locksmith services throughout Hertfordshire and North London.
From the day we started ASJ Locksmiths, our goal has been simple: provide honest advice, transparent pricing and professional workmanship without call centres, subcontractors or unnecessary upselling.
When you contact us, you'll speak directly to either Alex, Shaun or Jayden. We'll take the time to understand the problem, explain the available options and recommend the solution we genuinely believe is right for your property. Wherever possible, we'll always look to repair before replacing, and if replacement is the best option, we'll explain exactly why.
Every photograph, video and case study on this website comes from a real job completed by Alex, Shaun or Jayden. We believe our customers deserve to see genuine examples of our work rather than stock images or generic marketing.

A customer thought their lock had failed, but Alex found the lock was working correctly but the curtain inside had moved. A careful check avoided an unnecessary replacement and saved the customer money.
A homeowner accidentally left their keys inside the property. Shaun and Jayden gained access using non-destructive entry techniques, getting the customer back inside without damaging the lock or door.
A failed split spindle gearbox left the homeowner locked out. Shaun and Jayden diagnosed the fault, installed a temporary gearbox to restore access, then returned with the correct replacement to complete the repair.
A homeowner believed the gearbox had failed, but Shaun and Jayden discovered the split spindle had simply become disengaged. The repair was completed without replacing any parts, saving unnecessary expense.
